Urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection of the urinary system involving kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.

Mostly infections involve the lower urinary tract - bladder infection and urethral infection.

Inflammation of the bladder is known as Cystitis and inflammation of the urethra is Urethritis.
