BEP can happen to any male after the age of 40 years. Statistics shows that almost 6% of the worldwide male population suffers from BEP at some point in their life. However, men over the age of 65 years are more susceptible towards BEP, as the incidence of BEP increases with age. Men who have family history of BEP are more prone to develop the condition.
