  • Heredity plays a role in the development of Acne Rosacea. People who develop the disease usually have a history of the same in their families.
  • Inflammatory gastrointestinal tract disorders have been associated with Rosacea. The infected intestinal flora is said to influence system of proteins in the blood, and blood pressure to give rise to the widening of blood vessels.
  • Medications that cause blood vessels to widen like anti-hypertensives and oral steroids.
  • Fair skin
  • Acne is predominant in females more than males as females have more hormonal imbalance and emotional stress. Whereas in males if it occurs, it is more severe.
