  • Intraocular pressure is measured by tonometry. Anterior chamber and the angle in the eye where the iris meets the cornea are examined to denote the type of Glaucoma This is called Gonioscopy. Thickness of cornea is also ascertained (pachymetry)

  • Optic nerve is then checked for any damage, change in the cup-to- disc ratio, rim appearance and vascular changes by opthalmoscope.
  • Visual field test is done to check for any visible damage. A light is passed; with patient, made to sit straight headed, and his peripheral vision field is mapped.
