- Cornea- The transparent layer in front of eye is called cornea.
- Iris- Ring shaped, flat coloured membrane behind cornea with circular opening (pupil) at the centre.
- Uveitis- Inflammation of uvea which is pigmented layer beneath cornea & consists of iris, choroid and ciliary body.
- Retina- A layer sensitive to light & transmit images to brain via optic nerve at the back of the eyes.
- Inflammation- A defence process of body when it reacts in response to unfavourable condition resulting in redness, tenderness, swelling and warmth of the affected area of body.
- Tonometry- It is an inner eye pressure checking technique where an instrument called tonometer is used, after numbing the eye with eye drops.
- Opthalmoscopy- A small device called Opthalmoscope is used to check shape & colour of optic nerve.
