Usually signs and symptoms of Diaper dermatitis are restricted to the area which comes under the contact of diaper.
- Rashes at the diaper area
- Redness (Erythema) or patches of bright red skin at baby’s bottom
- Scaling of the affected area with erosion of skin layers
- In severe cases, bleeding, oozing, and itching
- In severe cases, ulceration and blister formation
- Burning sensation of affected area, especially, while passing urine or stool
- Baby cries while passing urine or stool or when affected area is touched
- Baby becomes uncomfortable and irritable
- Fever
