    • Do not wear high heels for a very long time or better still, avoid them altogether.
    • Do not expose the legs to excessively hot water and avoid bathing with very hot water. This will increase the swelling and blood stagnation.
    • Tight clothing around the waist and upper thighs should be avoided at all costs as they can worsen the trouble of varicose veins.
    • Wearing high heels for long periods should be totally avoided. Low heeled shoes helps tone the calf muscles.

  • 4 My mother has Varicose Veins. Is it possible that I will get it too? Can I prevent it?
