  • Blood Tests: Generally, in gout, uric acid levels are high in the blood.
  • Synovial Fluid: It is the most reliable tests for gout. In this, fluid is extracted from the affected joint and observed under the microscope. Urate crystals are found in the synovial fluid.
  • X-Rays: may show joint damage in patients with gout of long-standing duration.
