Introduction of Alopecia Areata (Hair Loss)

Alopecia Areata is a condition where there is hair loss from a particular part of the body. It is an autoimmune disorder in which the hair follicles are damaged by our own immune system.

Hair on the scalp and beard are the commonest victims of this condition.

Alopecia Areata affects both genders but is more frequently seen in males. In a few lucky cases, the disease resolves on its own. In most, however, it is a permanent fixture if not appropriately treated.
