Miss S.S. 3 and half years old accompanied by her grandfather presented in July 1987 with the following Complaints:

  • Eruptions on the scalp with crust formation and scaling since 1 and half years.
  • Scabs would fall out with lot of white flakes on combing hair, leaving behind raw areas.
  • Poor hair growth, with thin texture and light brown hair colour.
  • Problems of dry skin which worsened in winter.

Her Diagnosis was Seborrheic Dermatitis with Alopecia.

Her associated complaints were that of bed wetting in the night as well as day time, and occasional itching in the anal region.

She had an inordinate desire for ice and cold drinks, bananas and milk while she disliked sweets.

Her birth history was uneventful with normal milestones except for the fact that she learnt to talk late.

Though being a stubborn kid, she would mix up easily with others. She feared darkness.

After Careful assessment of the Case, she was prescribed Phosphorous .

Within 2 months of regular treatment she was already showing improvement.

She suffered a few relapses in the last couple of months; though with regular homoeopathic treatment her complaints started improving well. She regained her hair growth within 6 months time. Her skin complaints were much better with no relapses whatsoever.

She also recovered from her bedwetting troubles which are very occasional now.

This child's remarkable recovery from Seborrheic Dermatitis and Alopecia through Homoeopathy is a clear demonstration of the efficacy of Homeopathic Prescription in Paediatric Population.
